Online Quran Classes in Canada

Canada spans six timezones and four months of winter driving. Our tutors teach one-on-one over video call in every one of those zones, so your child's Quran education does not depend on the roads or the weather.

Timezones we teach in

You give us your city and your preferred local time — we handle the conversion, and your class stays at the same local time all year.

When Canada families usually book

Before school — 6:30–8:00 am

Especially valuable in winter, when evenings are dark by 4:30 pm.

After school — 3:30–6:30 pm

The busiest window across Ontario, Alberta and BC.

After Isha — 8:30–10:30 pm

Note that Isha shifts dramatically in Canada across the year — we adjust the schedule with it.

Weekends — all day

Full Saturday and Sunday availability.

Winter is the reason many families switch

The single most common thing Canadian parents tell us is that the driving broke them. A masjid Quran programme fifteen minutes away in September is a forty-minute crawl through unploughed streets in January, twice a week, in the dark, with a tired child in the back.

Attendance across Canadian weekend and evening Islamic programmes reliably drops through the winter for exactly this reason. Learning online removes it entirely — the class happens at the same time in February as in July, regardless of what the roads are doing.

Six timezones, one schedule

Canadian families are used to services quietly meaning Toronto when they say Canada. A family in Surrey, BC is three hours behind Ontario; one in St John's is an hour and a half ahead, on a half-hour offset that catches almost every scheduling system out.

All six zones are handled properly, including Newfoundland's UTC−3:30. You give your city and your preferred local time, and the booking is made in your time, not ours.

For Quebec and francophone families

Classes are taught in English, with Arabic for the recitation and terminology being learned. For francophone families in Montreal, Laval and Gatineau this is worth knowing upfront — children schooled in French generally cope well because Quran instruction is fundamentally about sound rather than explanation, but a child with limited English may find the surrounding discussion harder going.

If that is a concern, raise it during the free trial. We will place the child with a tutor experienced in teaching students who are learning through a second language, and keep the instructional language simple.

Newcomer families settling in

Canada takes in a large number of Muslim families every year, and the first two years are consumed by housing, credentials and employment. Quran study is usually the thing that slips, and children lose ground quickly at exactly the age they can least afford to.

Online classes are the easiest thing to keep running through a move — the tutor and the schedule follow you from Mississauga to Calgary without interruption, and nothing needs re-establishing at the other end.

Students across Canada

We teach families in these areas and everywhere in between — because classes are online, being far from a city makes no difference to the tutor you get.
