Online Quran Classes in the UAE

The majority of Muslim residents in the UAE are expatriates — from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and North America — whose children attend British, American, Indian or IB curriculum schools and think in English.

Arabic and Islamic studies are taught in UAE schools, but a child in an English-medium curriculum who is not a native Arabic speaker often finds Quran instruction pitched above them. The letters get learned by rote, the pronunciation is never really corrected, and the child concludes they are simply bad at it.

Expatriate life in the Gulf involves moving. Families relocate between emirates, change schools, go back to the UK or India for a year, come back. Every in-person arrangement has to be rebuilt each time, and Quran study is usually the casualty.

The UAE working week runs Monday to Friday with a half-day Friday, and the weekend is Saturday and Sunday. School days generally finish earlier than in Europe or North America, which opens up a genuinely wide afternoon window that most other countries do not have.

The UAE does not observe daylight saving, so your class time stays fixed all year with no changeover to manage.

Ramadan reshapes the entire day in the UAE — reduced working hours, shifted school timetables, and family life reorganised around Iftar and Taraweeh. We move the whole UAE roster rather than expecting students to fit the usual slot.

Most families switch to a late-morning slot or a post-Taraweeh one for the month. Demand for extra classes rises sharply in Ramadan, so book the change early.
